When at the driving range today I couldn’t help but feel good when my ball hit the black and white car marked by a 150 yard sign. This was a personal victory for me, it’s not gonna win me a title but it sure does feel good considering the fact that I wasn’t at the PGA championships and never will be. The backyard and the Rocky Gorge driving range is about it for me.
One man that America cannot let take a break (or hit less than 150 yards) is Tiger Woods. The poor guy limped through 91 holes at the U.S. Open after having knee surgery just a few weeks earlier. This week Tiger is not in attendance at the PGA Tour tournament in Washington D.C.
Tiger is doing what the doctor ordered, six to eight months without golf after a tendon in his right hamstring was removed and made into a new anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. This is the longest break he has had away from the TV golf world, especially during a tournament season. After a well needed rest maybe Tiger will come back even better…ummm never mind, can he get any better?
